I am a graduate engineer with degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Science. After completing a 38 year career in aerospace I became a science teacher at a prep school where I was encouraged to introduce a CAD course. I was astounded to find the visual liberation that CAD produced in young minds. After 13 years of teaching I retired and now dedicate my time to developing affordable solid CAD assembly models with the hope of inspiring hobbyists, professionals and other interested parties to participate in the wonderful world of 3D CAD.

My specific industry background involved concept definition wherein sketching was used to explore sizing and configuration options before committing to 3D solid CAD. Currently, I utilize MoI3D employing solid part primitives and then translate to Alibre Design via .stp export. Individual solid objects are readily combined into sub-assemblies within Alibre. My models are offered in .stp203 and .3dm formats as I believe it portends the future of CAD with reduced software overhead (bells and whistles)and simplified user interfaces.
